The pastor will be preaching a series on the book of Song of Solomon on Sunday nights beginning August 4th. God uses Song of Solomon as a guideline to handle one of the most important relationships we will ever have: of a husband and a wife. As we study together, we will see how a couple can live in a way which honors and brings glory to God and also brings intimacy and deep connection to one another.
Beginning Aug. 11 is an opportunity for our HSM guys to play some flag football with a Super Bowl as a season closer! The deadline to signup is Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019 with a team draft selection on August 11.
Following the preseason in August, all games and practices will take place on Sunday afternoons (1:30-4:30p) beginning Aug. 18 through Sept. 28. October will be playoffs for the Super Bowl currently scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 20 @ 8p. Sign up and be a part of something new this year!
The 2019 Beast Feast will be Friday, August 23, 2019 at 6:30 PM in the Student Center Gym. Crossway men and boys will enjoy great giveaways and a seafood feast. Special guest speakers will be Hall of Fame Pro Fisherman Jimmy Houston and Bob Reccord. Tickets are $20.00. Registration is open until August 5.
MOCHA (Mothers of Crossway Helping One Another) is a ministry designed to help moms of all ages and stages connect with each other. We do this by providing the opportunity for support, encouragement, and fellowship through Christ-centered discussions and interactions.
Our class-clash and color war is back! Last year the leaders took the prize and it’s all a conspiracy! Let’s not let that happen again! This is a free event that will test your team spirit and the strength and ability of your class for the new school year! Lunch will be provided along with fun and games and of course, some color powder to end the afternoon!
Remember to wear your class colors and bring the appropriate cover-ups (towel, trash bag, etc.) for clean up at the end of the event.

Join us September 13 - 14 for a weekend retreat where we will dive into God’s word and learn practical steps for daily living. You and your girlfriends can enjoy time away to refresh and renew at the Radisson Hotel in Branson.
The cost is $75 per person. Cost is based on 2 people per room and each room includes two queen size beds. Breakfast will be served in the hotel restaurant.
Ready or not here comes high school! We want to welcome all our incoming freshmen with a weekend just for them! This will be an opportunity for our students to get to know Luke and Kaitlyn as well as an introduction into the high school student ministry. Any/all new freshmen are welcome to this event! It is free but we do ask for registration below.
The dates are Friday & Saturday, Aug. 2 & 3. Drop off will be at Crossway at 6p on Friday and pickup will be at Crossway at 2p on Saturday. We’ll kick things off with dinner/pool party at Westport pool and then a lock in at the church. Saturday will start with breakfast and then a time of Bible study, games, and hanging out! We’ll conclude our weekend with an introduction to student leadership as well as lunch before pickup at 1:30p.
Families are welcome to visit their child's new classroom and meet their AWANA and Bible Fellowship teachers to discuss the upcoming year of learning together. There will also be a photo booth set up for families to take part in our KidZone Spotlight Series. Crossway senior adults will travel to rural Miller, MO and eat lunch at the Hangar Kafe, which overlooks an active airfield. We will leave from the church at 11:45 AM on the church shuttles and return by 5:00 PM. You can reserve a spot by contacting Karen Bisher at 865-7311. Reservation deadline is July 15 or whenever limited seating is filled. Cost of the lunch buffet is $14.99 per person.
Crossway is once again partnering with Operation Christmas Child to pack 1,000 shoeboxes for children in unreached countries. For this summer project, please pick up a shopping list at the OCC table and return items by August 11.
This year the High School ministry gets the opportunity to partner with Pastor Jesse Webster and Sugar Camp Baptist Church as they replant in the heart of Mt. Vernon, IL. Our students will help Sugar Camp reach the area through VBS style backyard Bible clubs, prayer walking, gospel distribution. We hope to finish up the week with a block party. We will also participate in evening worship services of preaching, prayer, and praise.

4th & 5th graders, join us for a Day at the Range at the Andy Dalton Shooting Range (located on the Bois D'Arc Conservation Area) on Tuesday, July 2. Students will meet at the church at 8 a.m. and return by 12:45 p.m. Registration is free and will be open from June 9 - June 27.

K-2nd Graders (2018-19 school year), join us for a lock-in Friday, June 14 (4:30 PM) - Saturday, June 15 (12:30 PM). This year's theme is "Glow with God!" Prov. 4:18. $40 registration includes food, activities, swimming (Westport Swimming Pool), and FUN! Limited to the first 40 that register.
As fathers, you are often your daughter's greatest hero and one of the greatest influences in their lives. On Sunday, June 9, we want to encourage you with a special father/daughter lunch in the Student Center Gym. We will begin at 12:30pm and you can expect the event to end around 2:00pm.
The cost is $5 per person and you can register online until May 30.
This summer we will be exploring the attributes of God through story, craft, and playtime from 10:00-11:00 AM each Wednesday morning in the KidZone Gym. Please register so we can plan accordingly. Registration will begin May 19 and close June 3, and there is no cost for this event.
The Martins, winners of 8 Dove Awards, will be in concert Sunday night, June 2. Siblings, Joyce, Jonathan & Judy, have enjoyed countless radio hits and have performed across the United States. This will be a great night of worship.

Now that AWANA is coming to an end for this program year, join us as we ZIP into learning the attributes of God through 'ZIP for Kids' interactive curriculum! Preschool through 5th grade students will enjoy interactive lessons, crafts, and activities each Sunday evening, 5:45-7:00 PM (just like the AWANA schedule), from May 26th -July 28th.
Kindergarten-5th-grade girls are invited to join us for a fun evening at Sac River Stables on Friday, May 24th. We will meet at the church at 5:30 PM and return at 9:15 PM. Cost is $25/girl, and the event is limited to the first 25 to sign up.
Join us for the AWANA Awards Ceremony on May 19 during the Sunday evening service as we celebrate the accomplishments of our students who participated in Puggles, Cubbies, Sparks, T & T, Journey, & Trek this year! Following the ceremony, there will be an ice cream social in the KidZone Gym to commemorate AWANA participants for the awards they received.

Mobilizing the church to serve children in our community.
As followers of Jesus, we are called to care for and serve the fatherless and abused children in our community. Crossway is helping interested members connect with ministries and organizations who serve orphans and children in need. We pray God stirs your heart to catch His passion for the fatherless.
Crossway senior adults will have a weekend mission trip to Omaha, Nebraska to help Bro. Rick Lechner with the Omaha Freeway Ministry and church planter Bro. Angel Morales. We will leave Crossway on Friday, June 28 and return Sunday evening June 30. The trip's cost, travel schedule and projects will be discussed in an informational meeting on Sunday, April 28 in room A-3 after evening service.
The Crossway men’s golf fellowship will be Saturday, April 27 at Springfield’s Payne Stewart Golf Course. The four-man scramble will have a shotgun start at 9:30am. There will be four flights, with prizes awarded in each flight. At the end of play, lunch will be provided at the Betty Allison House. There will be contests and prizes throughout the round.
We will depart the church at 9am and head to Branson. We will spend the morning at the tracks, and then head to CiCi’s at 12:30pm for lunch. After lunch, we will return to the Tracks until 5pm. We will then load up and head back to Springfield. Please plan on picking up your student from the church at 6pm.
