David joined our staff as the Minister of College Students in February of 2016 after serving as the Director of Foundations of Spiritual and Academic Transformation as well as a faculty member in the Division of Ministry Studies at Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO. In July of 2021 he became our Minister of Assimilation

David married his wife, Jessica, in 2012 after they met while attending BBC. They welcomed Harper into their family in May of 2019, and Henry in February of 2022.

After seven years serving as the Minister of College Students, David became the Minster of Assimilation. He senses a strong calling to help people understand the Bible as well as connect here at Crossway and find places where they can serve the local church. 

David enjoys school (currently a Doctoral Student at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary), reading, watching all things Iowa Hawkeyes, and spending time with Jess, Harper and Henry.
